Paws Unlimited
Paws Unlimited is a Kingston-based not-for-profit rescue for homeless, neglected and abandoned senior dogs.
Paws Unlimited helps out when older dogs are abandoned because they can’t see or hear or need extra care, or when a family member goes into a nursing home or passes away. For over 20 years, their mission has been to provide abandoned senior dogs quality nutrition, daily exercise, needed medical care and love. House for Dogmanity and Restore Thrift Store
The House for Dogmanity and Restore Thrift Store non-profit is located on Foxhall Avenue in Kingston. Like children, puppies outgrow various items: collars, crates, beds, etc. When they get older, they need senior items such as stairs, orthopedic beds, slings, carts and more. The House For Dogmanity and Restore Thrift provides these goods at an affordable price. Most of the goods are donated and in very good condition — some new or slightly used. They are then sold to the general public at reduced rates, and profits from the store are donated to support dog shelters and dog rescues in the Hudson Valley. The House for Dogmanity is run by volunteers of the dog world. We all find a ways to give, from our dogs to yours. Everyone should be able to afford a pet!
Have a Heart Animal Welfare
Have a Heart Animal Welfare Fund’s mission is to provide support to homeless and needy dogs in Ulster County. We provide food, emergency medical care, and spay/neuter services for shelter dogs and dogs living in low income households. Have a Heart Animal Welfare Fund networks with local animal control facilities to place abandoned dogs in loving homes. We are a 501c3 non-profit volunteer run organization. Your tax deductible donations go directly to the care of the animals.
Hudson Valley Animal Rescue & Sanctuary
Hudson Valley Animal Rescue & Sanctuary (HVARS), located at 9 Barnes Drive, Poughkeepsie NY, 12603, is a 501(c)(3) charity organization in New York State. We rescue domestic animals and farm animals and rehabilitate wildlife. We also run a low-cost vet clinic with wellness appointments for cats and dogs, and a spay/neuter program for cats, dogs and rabbits. HVARS also finds good homes for animals by offering adoption services.
Middletown Humane Society
Founded in 1959, The Middletown Humane Society is a No-Kill, privately run animal shelter in Middletown NY. It serves the City of Middletown, as well as surrounding communities. The MHS offers adoptions and will guide you through the process of finding just the right pet, be it a cat, a dog, a hamster or even a bird. They will also guide adopters through the process of welcoming shelter animals into their homes. The MHS offer provides transitional housing (space permitting) and will work hard to find a loving home for those who can no longer care for their pet.
The shelter is funded ONLY through the generosity of our supporters and does not receive any funding or support from the Humane Society of the United States.
Ulster County Canines
Ulster County Canines is a non-profit whose mission is to provide temporary shelter and find adoptive homes for dogs in need. The organization is comprised of individuals dedicated to rescuing, caring for and helping dogs. Offering adoption, boarding, and a vet clinic, Ulster County Canines is dedicated to enhancing the human-canine and canine-canine bond.
Humane Society of Walden
Since 1974, the Humane Society of Walden has provided quality care for many companion pets of all breeds, ages and sizes while they wait for their forever homes. A no-kill, 501 © (3) non-profit – safe haven – animal shelter, the Humane Society of Walden dedicated to helping stray and abandoned cats and dogs.
Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA
Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA is dedicated to the protection, humane treatment and wellbeing of all animals. This mission is accomplished by our commitment to community outreach, humane education and the prevention of cruelty to animals. We do not euthanize animals for space constraints and do not receive any federal, state or county funding.

Hudson Valley SPCA
The Hudson Valley SPCA is a unique shelter. Not only do we provide the only NO KILL facility in the Newburgh, NY, area, but we are also the only source of Humane Law Enforcement in Orange County. Our dedicated staff and team of volunteers protect and defend animals and actively seek loving homes for each and every one of them — homes where they will be cared for and loved for the rest of their lives.

ARF Beacon
Founded in 1986, The Animal Rescue Foundation of Beacon is an all volunteer no-kill animal shelter that houses and cares for cats and dogs in need of a second chance. ARF Beacon provides pet adoptions, animals medical treatment, positive re-enforcement training and a safe place to call home for as long as needed.
Catskill Animal Sanctuary
Catskill Animal Sanctuary rescues farmed animals, ignites social change to end their exploitation and champions vegan living.
Catskill Animal Sanctuary is a 150-acre refuge in New York’s Hudson Valley for 11 species of farmed animals rescued from cruelty, neglect and abandonment. Over the years, thousands have come to this place of profound peace. They continue to come — sometimes one needy soul, sometimes a flock of 100 or more at a time. It is our privilege to help each and every rescued animal understand what love feels like.
Family of Woodstock
Since 1970, the Family of Woodstock has been an anchor for area residents — a place where people are respectful and caring and where the search for solutions is creative and tireless. FAMILY’s shelters, emergency food pantries, domestic violence services, court advocates, counseling and case management services, hotlines and child care supports all work together to help people achieve the changes they seek. Their services are, with few exceptions, free of charge and confidential.

A donation of $3,417.16 was made by Kimlin Energy Services to the Hudson Valley March of Dimes at the annual March for Babies fundraiser on May 15th at the FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights. The event is part of Kimlin’s ongoing support of the local March of Dimes by making a donation for every gallon delivered by Kimlin’s specially-branded “March for Babies” propane truck. This marks Kimlin’s 10th year in ongoing support of the HV March of Dimes, spearheaded by longtime employee Perry Kimiln. Perry was joined in donating the check by volunteer Gregg Isaacson, Annette Trotta Flynn of the March of Dimes, and Ben Newman, also from Kimlin. Thank you for your incredible efforts to help babies and their families.
Kimlin Energy looks forward to continuing its relationship and support of the March of Dimes, and invites everyone to consider helping – it’s a national, non-profit organization established in 1938.
