Fuel & Cooling Assistance in New York
We’re Not HEAP… But We Can Help!
Kimlin Energy isn’t part of the official HEAP program, but we work with customers who depend on it every day. Below are direct links to New York State’s application resources for Regular HEAP, Emergency HEAP, and Cooling Assistance.

Regular HEAP
Regular HEAP helps income-eligible households pay for heating costs—like fuel, electricity, or wood. It’s typically available from November through early spring.
Emergency HEAP
Emergency HEAP is available when you’re in danger of running out of fuel or having your utility shut off. If you’ve received a shutoff notice or are low on propane, fuel oil, or wood, Emergency HEAP might help cover immediate costs.
Cooling HEAP
Cooling Assistance helps eligible households purchase and install an air conditioner if someone in the home has a documented medical condition worsened by heat.
